Skyber - A cosy cottage for two

Skyber - A cosy cottage for two

Skyber means shippon or animal house in the Cornish language.
When we came to Old Newham, this building was used to house six dairy cows tied up in stalls, although it would seem that a hundred years or more ago it may have been an open fronted implement store with its granite columns along the front wall.

Now it forms a very cosy one level cottage for two.

Entering via a useful porch, you pass the pine clad bathroom with shower over a full sized bath on the way to the comfortable living room with two wing arm chairs and oak fireplace.

The dining area is in an alcove to the left.

The very well equipped kitchen area has black granite work tops, a built in electric cooker, fridge-freezer and dishwasher.

Outside is a small patio area and a private west facing garden with furniture for relaxing and eating.
