Being animal lovers, but not keeping dogs ourselves, we can understand the pleasure of taking your dogs on holiday with you and so would like to extend a welcome to your dog at Old Newham without extra charge. Unfortunately we've had a few problems over the years with irresponsible dog owners.
So, in order to keep our cottages dog friendly, we must insist on a few rules (they may seem harsh or unnecessary but it's most important that they are followed to keep your stay a pleasure for you, your dogs, our other visitors and ourselves).
At no time should dogs be left in the cottages on their own.
Dogs are definitely not allowed in the bedrooms or on the furniture. They can damage furnishings, following visitors may be allergic to pet hairs and it can be next to impossible to remove them from furniture.
You must supply all bedding, eating/drinking bowls, towels etc. your dog may require while at Old Newham
Please exercise your dogs away from our cottages and farm. There is a fenced lane 50yds from the cottages where they can be let off the lead with safety. It is really important for the health of our animals and other visitors that you clean up after your dogs. We reserve the right to charge you if we have to clean up after you dogs
Due to the agricultural nature and location of Old Newham, there is plenty of wildlife and domestic animals around. Please keep your dogs under close control at all times.
On a more positive note, there are plenty of countryside walks, both long and short, around North Cornwall for you and your dog to enjoy. Whilst about half the beaches are dog friendly all year round, the other half have dog bans in place from April to September.
